Just a 3 minute intro to our latest DVD, Newfoundland Circle Part 2.
In this year’s 70 minute presentation we’ll navigate The Strait of Belle Isle, anchor amid the stunning beauty of Gros Morne National Park, then sail north and visit Red Bay Labrador. From Red Bay north we encounter ice bergs, humpback whales and stop to explore Battle Harbour. We cross Belle Isle to L’Anse aux Meadows and visit the Norse archaeological site there, then sail down the east coast of Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula to St Anthony. Leaving St Anthony we battle a gale and take refuge in remote Maiden Arm, then explore Fourche Harbour and its abandoned whaling station. We round Cape St John, entering Notre Dame Bay to relax and enjoy its sheltered island anchorages, before hauling out at the bustling 170 slip, Lewisporte Marina and Yacht Club.
