We are safely home in Ontario pouring through thousands of images, paintings and hours of video from this years trip to Newfoundland. Soon we’ll post a final batch of images from the last leg of our journey, sailing in Notre Dame Bay, and of our new home port at the Lewisporte Yacht Club, where Phanty is spending the winter.
I had captured these images and video on the iPad, we use it as a chart plotter in the cockpit. South of Maiden Arm and St Anthony we stopped to admire this grounded berg which, as soon as we put the camera away, began to breakup, sending out a huge crash and wave. It’s a little bumpy and out of focus but you get the idea what it’s like to be beside a berg as it disintegrates.
